Selecting an appropriate container for the cremation service you are planning is a necessary and important step in the arrangement process. Although a casket is not required, New Mexico State Law does require a cremation container, which is rigid for secure handling and made of combustible materials, be used for all cremations. Additionally, some type of alternative container or cremation casket is required by the crematory.

There are two basic types of cremation containers available.

Alternative Cremation Containers are designed to allow for safe and dignified transportation to the crematory.

Cremation Caskets are beautifully designed to reduce the costs associated with traditional caskets yet allow the family to gather privately or with friends at a traditional visitation or service to honor their loved one.
